Job Summary
The Service Manager is responsible for the management of tire, lubrication and mechanical repair for customer vehicles.Will  also be responsible for excellent customer service.   Leading and Managing the flow of service work through the service department ensuring quality repairs are completed.  The Service Manager will also be responsible for Tire Sales as well as managing Tire inventory. Will be completely responsible for accounts receivable.

Responsibilities
Schedules and assigns Repair Order Requests to appropriate Mechanic or Tire/Lube Technician
Road tests vehicles before or after completion of job 
  • Inspects and reviews the quality of work to be certain that all authorized work is completed and billed properly and that the work order is correct
  • Manages shop equipment, including maintenance and purchase of capital equipment
  • Manages the inventory of auto parts, shop supplies and other expendable materials 
  • Manages shop cleanliness  
  • Ensures employees are in compliance with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Inspects each vehicle and ensures customers are satisfied 
  • Manages the performance of service department personnel
Desired Qualifications

  • Sales experience, preferably in the retail industry
  • Working knowledge of Excel and of Microsoft Office products
  • Understanding of inventory control methods and accountabilities
  • Basic understanding of tires, tire related services, automotive services , and of retail business environment
  • Understanding of the financial impacts of pricing, discounting, and margins
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates and management
  • Execute multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and composure
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, grip, handle, lift/carry up to 60 lbs., and push/pull up to 60 pounds up to 2/3 of the workday
  • Must also have the ability to lift/carry over 60 pounds and push/pull over 60 pounds up to 1/3 of the workday
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
